1lbs beef (thinly sliced)
1 block tofu, cut into cubes
1 cup thick soy sauce
1/2 cup mirin
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups dashi or vegetable broth
1 onion, sliced
1/2 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup napa cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup spinach
2-3 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
1. In a large pot or sukiyaki pan, combine thick soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and dashi (or
broth). Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
2. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the tofu, mushrooms, onion, cabbage, and spinach. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
4. Garnish with green onions and serve with rice.
